Not sure if these are relevant...but it's worth an ask.
Does the car have the two DSC sensors under the passenger carpet? I don't know if the ASC is the same (mine is a 2001 M54 3 litre). Just noticed from the pictures that there are no warning lights, so if it has the same then they work. Mine don't!

Hi , I could do with a headlight on/off switch & vent next to it . Is it an easy swap over ?

Yes. Remove the on/off knob ( remove top can and 8mm nut inside) and a self tapping screw secured the vent unit to the dash.
