Hi, my 2.8 is late preface with twin vanos so could be worth a punt@Bampz if your car is a late pre facelift with twin vanos there's a good chance it will work. If it's single vanos then it most likely wont work.

Afternoon , gave this diagnostic tool a go , took me a few hours to load onto a laptop running xp but that was probably me more than the program , anyway my zed is a Nov 1998 build with the twin vanos 2.8 engine and the program will only read DME,EWS.SRS.IKE and TOENS so anybody any ideas on a tool to read my abs module please as both lights are on?@Bampz if your car is a late pre facelift with twin vanos there's a good chance it will work. Have a read of this thread from bimmerforums it may give you an insight to what you need to do to access all of your cars modules.
Point number 7 is the key to most problems, ie, if pin 15 is live in your round socket, then your car is a fully ads car and all modules can only be accessed by ads.

Cheers guys will have to look furtherNoticed it dosn't read the ABS on my 1999 1.9, picks up the same modules as yours. INPA reads the ABS on mine ok, if you can install INPA and have the correct emulator and cable have a go with that. Software and cable/emulator I use is from BCables off ebay running on a Laptop with Win
