Too late Brian, they trashed High Marnham and Cottam's on borrowed time mate.

How do you pay Mike, credit card? Wonder how secure the payment systems would be?Charge points are every where over here, public car parks, out side office buildings......
I could find a number of diesel marine engines linked up to generators providing nearly 1MW of power. You could charge several cars per minute with those, but, from a space (and noise) perspective they might be a tad inconvenient. So are the rest of them. Most need major Boiler and turbine rebuilds.
We were having the same discussions regarding power supply today and if you don't have a drive or garage you are in real bother.and 60% of the population don't have a drive.
Well, it was/is free? I don't know if that has changed though, I will have to ask an owner. How do you pay
I live near the tidal Trent Ian, can we do something with that?I've just designed the perfect combination of power sources to build into your electric car completely removing reliance on conventional and dirty electricity generation.
Obviously you need solar cells to charge your batteries while the sun shines (only 0-15% efficient and useful only on three days a year)
A wind turbine to capture wind energy (c60% efficient)
An inbuilt hydroelectric plant using captured rain water and pumped storage using electricity from other sources when batteries are charged (90% efficient).
Don't think I can build in a tidal electricity generation system.
I suspect the resultant system might be getting a little cumbersome though.
I'll be back off to my inventors shed to have a rethink
I didn't realise it was tidal that far inland.I live near the tidal Trent Ian, can we do something with that?
Tony.
oh yeah, it's tidal as far as Collingham wier downstream of Newark.I didn't realise it was tidal that far inland.
Nothing to do with tidal, but have a word with @miller1098, think he stuck some sort of gizmo in his little river.I didn't realise it was tidal that far inland.
My shogun would have got me through that mate pulling your Z4The Trent is a very big powerful river especially when it's in flood, they wouldn't let you put anything in there which might affect the flow. This is half a mile from home behind the White Swan pub.

Used to be in High Marnham all the time with work. Been flattened some years now.Too late Brian, they trashed High Marnham and Cottam's on borrowed time mate.

Big enough?lets go back to steam engines . i've a 4*4 as i tow a caravan, what could i replace it with that is heavey enough & good on fuel
That is the only real alternative. On a vehicle already fitted with LPG there's a premium to pay but definitely worth considering.Big enough?
