Chatting to a couple of guys at work, both with the Audi A5 and both state that if they lock the car when jet washing the alarm goes off, if they unlock it the boot opens when washing the back

Yep Volvo estate is the same, if you have the keys on you the jet will lock/open the doors and if you point it to the estate door, bingo it opens, I leave the keys in and don't go near the rear door latchChatting to a couple of guys at work, both with the Audi A5 and both state that if they lock the car when jet washing the alarm goes off, if they unlock it the boot opens when washing the back

I have an A4 avant (2024) with the electric boot lid. I quite often go out to the car and find the boot wide open. I put it down to me pressing the button in my pocket but thought it strange as you have to press it twice to open the boot.
Who knows? I can't wait to get shot of the horrible thing (leased). The tech is stupid and the brakes sometimes forget to work, although the dealer denies there is a problem!! Mine is one of the last A4s produced, so got a really cheap lease deal as they wanted to shift them before the replacement A5 came out.
I never ever pressure wash a car BTW. Goes against everything holy in my book.
