Hi people I'm having trouble syncing my alarm fob to my 1997 z3 2.8.
Before I started the alarm didnt work I have followed the steps on a post from the forum but no luck need help in finding what to do the alarm light is now flashing and the alarm goes off if I press tye white button on the remote or open a door ect.has anybody had this problem before or more importantly know how to fix it.

Quick update I have been playing around with the alarm and now the alarm will beep twice then a long beep when I press the red button when I press the white button it beeps ones now it wont do anything.
 
Hi - if it beeps twice then it is trying to set the system - if a long beep follows then it is indicating that a contact on the circuit is not made.
I would start by checking the bonnet switch . You can unplug this and then test system again - note there is a spare plug in the same area so ident which one you actually unplug so not to confuse ( don't ask me how I know this :oops:)
