Hi Malcolm
Has your existing one failed, or are you retro fitting Aircon?
My understanding is that the pumps are the same on other Z3s, it is only the electrical clutch that kicks the pump into action that is different.
I’ve fitted a facelift 2.2 pump to my 2.8. Physically there were no issues.
I am waiting for a new condenser and drier before I can button it all up again and have it vacuumed and re-gassed, so will let you know if it proves as successful as I hope/anticipate.

Hi Mike,
Existing one has leak looks like pulley seal.
How did you sort different clutch issue ie swap clutch over or did 2.2 pump swap over as is
Hopefully someone may have one.

Let me caveat that I have not had my system up and running yet………

However, I have transferred the 2.2 compressor onto my 2.8 and everything lined up perfectly physically.
The only difference I found was the black trigger wire to the clutch has a different connector, so I spliced a new connector from my donor car to my own car. So I see no reason that it will not work. (I did not change the physical clutch).
I am not able to test it and prove it works until the system is re-gassed and has pressure, as there is a fail/safe pressure switch that prevents the clutch pulling the pump into action if there is insufficient coolant in the system : otherwise it would burn the pump out.
I hope to have my system up and running in the next week / 10 days so will let you know.
Essentially if you find a pump for sale ask for the car loom electrical plug that goes with it.

Going to do some research about reconditioned units that look reasonably priced just need to check compatibility
In the meantime hopefully someone comes up with good used one

If no joy there, try your part number on eBay.
I’ve just recently changed my compressor but decided to buy a new Nissans pattern part £165 on eBay as a new Denso was twice the price and had spent quite a bit on parts during the summer. Fittings were fine but the electrical connection was in a different location but was able to wire it up fine.

No luck with both breakers,will have another look on E bay,must admit had previously looked but thought I’d need exact named unit,ie Seiko Seiki.
