Bombing is a waste of time and money when not followed up by ground forces. Its about time the UK bowed out of policing the world, too few people doing too many war zones for other peoples agendas.

Get all the refugees between 18 and 40 and send them back to fight for their own country and way of life. If they won't stand up for what's theirs why should we.

My name is Miller I live in a country that has some value.Im happily going about my life, suddenly I have a problem my child is sick ,my parents are homeless and there's no social housing or health care.I see on the TV how my leaders are rich how things look good elsewhere,I go to the council they do nothing ,so I protest in the city.the government doesn't like it so they phone their mate and say you've got to pay more for your oil, coal gas or whatever...He can't pay as he would never be re elected if he put prices upat his home.so he says here's some guns we've made and I'll build a factory here to make some more you can pay me in oil. it's called protecting your interests abroad.Tell those protesters to go back home and get on with making that oil and show them your guns.(abridged version)

Unfortunately if no wars existed we as "The Human" race would start one, we never have or never will see eye to eye across the Pub never mind the globe, you can see it every night in the local pubs, it only takes a glance to upset someone, and then world war three breaks out with fists flying, we have to face it, its in our nature, we all know that it is wrong and stupid ,but we would rather annihilate the world and ourselves than admit defeat and take a step back (i.e. Cuban Missile Crisis) but we cant help it, its down to millions of years of evolution, do you really think its a new thing, this has been going on since we first appeared on earth its just the weapons at our disposal that has changed, and this will continue until we destroy ourselves one way or another.

Three years ago the EAC did a tour of WW1 battlefields, We visited quite a few Cemeteries, but one has always stuck in my mind, Tyne Cot. I said then and I say it now, Every politician in the world should visit this Cemetery before they take office, then just perhaps they would think hard about rushing to War. Tyne Cot is one of those places where, however many people are around you, it is a lonely and sad place. when you walk along the gravestones and realise the ages of the men buried there, you realise the flower of the country is buried there. Go there if you want to see what war is all about!!.

I disagree with your pub analogy,I think alcohol is more to do with that.and I do think some people are more prone to violence.we should just make it unacceptable. Walk around a town in Europe in the evening it's a lot less intimidating than our local town.My daughter was wandering around the streets of Marrakech looking for a copper bath.she was much safer than in London. Not every foreigner is out to rob you or convert you.mostly they will give you stuff and make you welcome.take a little minute to watch this

Agree with those sentiments Hugh, but some of the reason people are safer is because of the consequences of doing wrong,or more to the point, the consequences of getting caught doing wrong especially in a country where you can have a hand cut off for theiving etc. Also true re booze and bravery too. As always though in any foreign cities there are places where you would not be safe, even in so called civilised countries too.

Spot on Tony, I have been to a lot of different countries in my line of work and the places I felt most at ease on the street were Libya and China.

Says a lot to me Mike, there are places in Orlando where we won't go late on. A very different culture in the night time. Yet another mass shooting over there yesterday in California, which it appears may be terror related!

Just as The UK decides on whether or not to join the bombing of ISIS our new PM has recalled our bombers to Canada! Now hopefully no Canadian pilots will be affected by PTSD after finding out about the collateral damage they just rained down on innocent persons. I believe a sniper taking out an ISIS fighter is much needed as opposed to blanket bombing. Give the other countries under siege by ISIS fighters training to accomplish this and don't unnecessarily endanger the lives of my countrymen and women and all the innocents involved! JMHO. JIM

If you allow the country to vote you go with the majority.
The majority of the country under the current system of voting, voted for these Mp's.
So we did go with the majority as I see it.

If we didn't have the threat of conflict I would have had to find a different line of work.

The thing is not just the government but also many opposition MP's voted for this action. And let's not forget who got our country involved in the Middle East mess in the first place, step forwards Tony Blair!
