thanks chaps,

its been nice to know I have had somewhere to go for advice and an understanding of how frustrating the last 2 weeks has been car wise....we have all been there at some point, I know gary has had his recent water pump issue and it makes all the difference that you are not just in the hands of your local "stealer" what did we all do before the interweb thingy?

am off for a drive this morning round the back roads between guildford and cranleigh:)

so....update...

my car does not like the 17" wheels and neither do I! I think its because they are either 8 or 8.5 all round can't remember exactly, but both are to wide for the front of my little1.9 and its tram lining like a monster!, despite the bushes upgrade...so I have found a set of 16" bondstar wheels with 4 good tyres and the chap is happy to do a straight swap for my 17's...to be honest I like the grip I get from 17's and the handling I got on the 15's so i'm hoping the 16s will be a good compromise between the two!...and on the plus side as its an atlanta blue with a tan interior it will now be an exact copy of the goldeneye car...

will report how it goes...

once again wish me luck!

It's 8" long I'll have you know! lol. Anyway after our grandson as had his afternoon nap the first thing he sees when he is picked up is Daddat's posh car. He would like to "play" with it but at 2 yrs and 4 mths I'm scared he might remove the bonnet and doors. So it lives on a high shelf.

8" wow...thats at least 2 bigger than mine!...

best place for it the high shelf...I have seen them on ebay boxed for about £50!

it will be really nice to have the car looking "007"...what other bond car could you own for under 3k! I think they will be worth a lot more in years to come and am looking forward to them gaining that classic status...

Yeah, I had to bide my time to get one at what I thought was the right price. It came in original box, made by UT Models, Germany. Couldn't resist, I think it was the big kid in me.lol
