A year in the making.... Update 22/1/18

When you look at the size of the full rest piece it is huge compared to the size of the installed footrest but it needs to be resized and stuck through a slit in the carpet as Tony had done and his side extention to level it looks excellent. I believe, if memory serves @t-tony found empty space behind the carpet so lots of room for the extension. JIM

Yep, it's just a Void back there.........:)

Tony.

Just thought i'd add my updated.

Not a bad job to do and a couple of hours fitting the four corners and a good drive out to get them to bed in and happy with the look and they work well.

I found him ages ago on gumtree its a motor factors up leeds way.
The whole set delivered was £120 which is peanuts time will tell with the quality but they look well finished and feel good under foot.
I asked about any deals and i have a mobile contact and if you ring and mention me and this place the deal may sweeten even more he said he would look after us

That @Southernboy surround looks perfect!! Barry sure does produce a great product and his new design will make install even easier!! The brakes look great, what colour are you thinking? JIM

Looks great, I'm thinking off upgrading the brakes again on mine. Seen a similar set somewhere, what are the mintex pads like? Have the grooved discs made a big difference also?
Its still early days really ive used Mintex pads before and they have been ok the discs are made by a company called LPB not found alot on them but they where cheap enough to give ago maybe Chinese but then theres not mich that isn't nowadays.
They feel good under foot quite progressive but you can feel the bite at low pressure and seemed to stop the 2.8 with ease from speed i suppose its a time will tell purchase .

Im thinking maybe blue Jim but not sure yet will have a look and see what may suit.

A few more upgrades done so thought i'd update.
Upgraded the speakers to the rear and modified the sub box and upgraded the sub to get the sound right.
Was an experiment to see what i could achieve but turned out very well.
Rear speaker change
20161213_173641_001.webp

The original 3" speakers where just rotton and crackled struggled to find facelift beige rear panels so had to cut out the originals to fit the bigger speakers.
The speakers fitted and on to the sub box

Removed the stock H.K subbox has never really impressed me has always been distorted and caused a lot of poor sound and nothing much else. I built a box and upgraded to a single 6.5" sub.
Its what a lot of zed owners have used when looked in to and the result was good.
The bonus being the stand H.K setups amp powers it perfectly.
Wanted it to look stock when done so although an odd shape to make when fitted it has made a big difference.

Fully sealed and slotted in perfect.

Lid back in place

Added a butt strut and body brace to the zed after this came up for sale did a bit of research and looked into its purpose and it adds quite alot of chassis rigidity.
The reviews given for it are very positive

Had it powder coated and bolted it up will add my own findings when i get change to road test properly.

Fitted well and on first drive does seem to stop the zed flexing .
More upgrades in the pipe line along with some front lower arm replacements and the suspension for a little more adjustability.
