merry christmas everyone . hope to meet more of you in the new year
Gotta love Amsterdam! One of the few places where a water pipe is used for what it was invented without fear of being sent somewhere unpleasant for a very long time. We have Turkish "Sheesha" shops in Japan. They smoke a very mild type of tobacco that succeeds in giving me nothing more than a headache.Absolutely, staggered around for a bit and then threw up in his van....on that note, Happy Christmas...
Don't worry Frankie, BMG is always saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. Hard to upset everybody on this site at the same time. On a lighter note, is it Christmas there yet or do you have to wait another few hours? And I meant to say uncle Fester but I got my names mixed up. You really looked great!!!! I thought this was the case but I was afraid to say it because if I was wrong it would have been the perfect time to have said the really wrong thing at the perfectly wrong time. There were times in my life when I really wanted to compliment someone and accidently ended up insulting them. oops!
In a few hours. Been busy all day baking. Made carrot cake starting with carrots I dug up from the garden that had grown last summer. Dig them up when I need them. Carrot cake is for dinner tonight. Traditional fish dinner, an Italian thing. For tomorrow I made Zuppe Inglese.(https://www.google.com/search?sourc...0l3.0.0.0.21581...........0.ApRsqLIWDJw&pbx=1)Don't worry Frankie, BMG is always saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. Tried to Google Earth this area, and it seems like a very large area.Frankie
The Fens, (means Marshland) an area of flat land that runs from Lincolnshire, through Cambridgeshire & Norfolk, around the wash, it was renowned for being below sea level and constantly flooded until it was drained by Vermuynden, a Dutch Engineer at the end of the 17th Century.
Fen Tigers are Fenmen, renowned for their hard living and hard drinking!!!! and the Women are pretty awesome too!!!
Here is a picture taken just down the road last year.

Yes, Frankie, it is a very large area, much of it devoid of trees. Having grown up in this environment, one of the places I frequent is Wissington, where the Farmers are constantly digging up bog oak buried millions of years ago, try Google Earthing that, it also has the largest sugar processing plant in the world.Tried to Google Earth this area, and it seems like a very large area.
