Yesterday at 11.00 a young woman was supposed to bring her car, a P206 1.4 in for M.O.T., didn't show up and rebooked for today at 10.00, she rolls up at 10.30 expecting the same 11.00 slot today. Anyway When it was on the test ramp these were spotted and she had stated that she had just driven up from London to Lincoln this very morning on these tyres, presumably at motorway speeds? Scary s*** or what??

Just goes to show, you never know what's coming the other way, she didn't want to leave it at the garage, she wanted to take it away and use it over the weekend!!!! Can you believe the stupidity of some people??:rage:

That's a full on set of Dunlop Kojack's! That'll be 12 points and a substantial fine, oh, and go and have a look in A&E at some of the carnage caused by people like you!

Good set of semi slicks there....o_O
Sad thing is Mike, they don't get like that over night, so no one is paying much attention to her car in between test are they?

Well, in general, they don't do they....:bag:
Fair comment TBH. So really, 1 year testing doesn't want to be stretched out to 2 year testing. On this evidence she would probably be dead, or, someone else would.:(:(

Did she take the car back on the road with those tyres? :wideyed:. Can you legally stop the snotty nose cow with them being in such a dangerous state? Makes my blood boil! Stupid cow deserves a ban for those. She could have killed any one of us.:mad::mad:. If you notice that's 3 grumpys! That means I'm really cross! :rage:

No Dave, all we can do is strongly advise that she left the car with us, which, in fairness she eventually did. I didn't show her the pictures but I would have if she'd insisted on taking the car. She really had no idea how lucky she has been.

Well done for persuading her mate, not that she didn't deserve points at least or those!

To start off....:bag:
I have married one of those....a few years ago she went to a company Christmas party during the worst storm of the year using (my) Merc C220 and I told her it was not a good idea to travel but she did anyway.
When she got home (she does not drink) she said how relived she was as she thought she had a puncture as there was quite a lot of noise and vibration but after quit a few miles had decided to stop and check ...
When I looked the next morning, front bumper was knackered, all the plastic under trays were gone...must have gone over a tree branch or something.
My mate at his garage asked if she had been off roading.

Amazing how complacent some people can be !
Makes me wonder how many cars are on the road like that or worse ?
Frightening thought :meh:
