incessant rain and the water is still rising
Loving itStill a risk even in a 4x4 the way that water is going past!
Tony.
Bloody hell Hugh, when we were at your place 6 weeks ago there was hardly any water in that stream
Yes this is where we want to put the hydro system, all this potential power passing the doorBloody hell it's playing havoc all over the place. Been off work today but back tomorrow. Nothing worse than wind and rain for me. Is that now river on your land @miller1098?
Is the system something you have to buy, Hugh. Or can you build one yourself.Yes this is where we want to put the hydro system, all this potential power passing the door
Very Very surprised you have not done it before, it would be a priority for me.Yes this is where we want to put the hydro system, all this potential power passing the door
We have a few hydro schemes going in to our glen at the moment not cheap though! You need a stack of cash to put in the investment but it is repayable through guaranteed tariffs etc.Yes this is where we want to put the hydro system, all this potential power passing the door
Yes it's something I'm not qualified to install, and you can imagine the red tape involved with anything to do with water and rivers.permissions have cost in the region of £10,000 its quite an investment the pipe work alone is over £25,000 it's not a cheap thing so I've been back to my bank manager againI

A friend of mine is at about the 50K mark and it will be commissioned in the next week or so, his son is in the renewable business so he has got through a lot of the red tape/paperwork relatively easily, I suppose the costs come down to the size of the generator etc as well.Yes it's something I'm not qualified to install, and you can imagine the red tape involved with anything to do with water and rivers.permissions have cost in the region of £10,000 its quite an investment the pipe work alone is over £25,000 it's not a cheap thing so I've been back to my bank manager again
Ours will be about £120,000 but I'm hoping we can churn out a bit of powerA friend of mine is at about the 50K mark and it will be commissioned in the next week or so, his son is in the renewable business so he has got through a lot of the red tape/paperwork relatively easily, I suppose the costs come down to the size of the generator etc as well.
