Those are the ones! I kinda liked the idea of them matching all the leather etc with the new door cards. just did a quick google and got http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/produc ... 11530.html as well as the 3 speaker version http://www.jehnert.de/wp-content/upload ... hi5-00.pdf on their website. I had only seen the longer version with the 4 MB quarts but the smaller version looks quite handy too.dineshee28 said:James,
Yeah, I see your point its true that is at the end of the personal taste. I think you are refering to Jehnert door speakers. They are made in Germany ftted with 4 MB quarts speakers. About 8 years ago I did hear the demonstartion in a mini setup and yes is sounded great. But the price iah to pay was around £1200 and to be honest thats alot of money. I know many car audio companies now build door enclosures for a fraction of price and using your own choice of door speakers.
I think when i was looking (it's a good few years ago now) i was just looking at the cards and then fit the speakers i wanted which would have been cheaper. I just remember my car audio guy saying they just needed the chassis number and then they would get the right leather for the cards. I'm more a dubstep person myself (from my example) but that doesn't limit my taste to all kinds of music so i would be looking for something to handle a good amount of sub bass when i wanted it. I like my pheonix gold amp which i can control the output from the amp via a control knob so makes for easier on the go adjustments. I might bring that back as i'm not using it here.
I really can't remember how big the speaker is i have mounted on the top of the old compartment, can anyone measure the top of their section at the widest point between the roll hoops? front to back where either the HK sub sits under or the lockable compartment cover i have a feeling maybe 6" which isn't a lot of room to play with.
