Hi everyone . This is the dates for the 2017 Scottish Run 26th / 27th August.
I am organising the run this year and I've decided to focus on south west scotland this year as i think this part of Scotland has a lot to offer and I'd like to share that with other members.
The way dates have fallen in the run will be a 2 day event same as this year on the August bank holiday weekend as i know its a long journey for some just to get here.
I have a few routes im mind and will finalise this once winter is over and i see what the roads are like. But the start point on both days will be Ayr .
I have a base hotel in mind but plenty of accommodation available locally will put up more detais once i have an idea of numbers thanks Stephen.

Update 1. feb 17 .
I've got a hotel sorted out for the weekend that will make a great base as it has a bit of character.
Spoke to the manager and have sorted out a price of £40 per person b&b and he said he'd sort something out for evening meals as well. This is link to website phone number etc on there Paul is the manager.
I have some rooms set aside to be booked for this event Paul would be happy to help with booking confirmation to reserve a room.

I have the 2 routes pretty much sorted for the 2 days ( subject to final reccy runs when I'm off 1st week in April) I have made both routes tweakable depending on time weather etc.

UPDATE 3. ACCOMMODATION.
After popping in to the hotel last night here is an update on the accommodation.
The hotel comprises of 6 twin / 3 single / 5 double. ( the phone number is in the link )
I have 7 rooms set aside for members to book these rooms will remain that way till July 4th after that its first come first served.
So if you are attending and are booking in at the Abbotsford could you please get in touch with the hotel and reserve what you require thank you.
Also i have arranged for us to have a reserved area for us to park in so we all get parked on return from the days drive .
We are booked in Friday Saturday Sunday so should be there to greet you as you arrive .

Hi depends on what your plans are.
We are booked for fri / sat / sun as some people are coming quite far so want to be there night before and also not have to drive home straight after .
The plan is to be leaving about 9.45 - 10.00 so what ever suits your plans for when you are joining, leaving etc .
Lynne is putting together an itinerary for the 2 days just not finished yet .

Sounds like an idea, it would take some of the boredom out of the M6. :)

I've been informed the wife cant get the time off :( that sucked. Wanted to do another Scotland hoon.
