I am interested to know why you keep swapping cars for the same ones. Don't get me wrong...I enjoy getting new cars (a lot), but different ones. Surely buying the same all the time gets a little 'familiar' after 3 or 4? Or is that the point....you know what you are getting?

I have a mate who had company cars for 30 years. He always chose a Mondeo, even though the choices became wider over the years. I would ask him why he always had Mondeos; his answer was "they are good cars". But how would he know if it was the only car he ever drove?

How about mixing it up a little and getting an MX5? Just for shits and giggles. They are great and much more fun to drive than any Z. Imagine the kudos of a picture of a Mazda in 'your layby'.....;)

Definitely a case of knowing what you are getting - I wouldn't have a clue what little foibles to look out for if I went to look at another model.

In addition the Zed range is so broad that even within the same model generation there are multiple options to differentiate cars before you even consider the maintenance history and condition. As an example although this is my 5th E86 I haven't owned one with the auto box or grom aftermarket Bluetooth device.

As I sit here now I'd like to think the E86 with an auto box is what I've settled on - but you know me and next month I could be back in an M44 (I do love those)

Great looking Zed Garrie and definitely better on silver wheels
How long before she's parked in your layby;)

Out is out, whatever you are in:thumbsup:

You’ve had quite a few E86 coupes iirc. Even swapped some real m badges for one. What makes you keep coming back to them more than the rest of the Z fleet?
Looks and functionality I guess and obviously the driving dynamics - I find that the addition of a fixed roof just intensifies the overall experience

Picked the car up from its MOT yesterday and save a couple of advisories for the track rod ends it now has a 12 month ticket

Drove it back to back with the E89 I've just bought and I'm thinking I might sell that and keep this - then again the sun is still shining :bashhead:
