Got to agree there Simon, to make that viable you would need to beg it, or be in Sean's position and able to do the bodywork yourself because bolting on metal bits is, comparatively, very easy. Was a bit like "Last of the summer wine" at our place a week last Saturday but we got the job done! Compo is a very happy chap now, with his new suspenders.

It depends what your plans are Simon. If your intentions are to keep it forever and a day then you can in the long term expect the car to owe you more than its worth. If your after a couple of years and move it on then it's not the right car for you.

Maybe you missed it but it was for sale on here, I was so tempted as I wanted the seats, another forum member bought it.

Yeah, Niall drove to Bodmin with Steve @Low Rider to pick it up. We were pleasantly surprised when we saw it with how clean and how nice it was. It really is a nice car

But if you compare that with the insurance price (2-4 grands/year, every year!), there is no big deal...
