Little treat for the zed. Quick polish with Gtechniq P1 to remove the washing swirls. Used a chicago rotary polisher with finishing pad. Next came Poorboys Black Hole Glaze and finally topped off with a sealant, Gtechniq C2.

Really makes the Boston Green pop ;-)

Good work seadog! Being a bit fanatical about polishing my Zed I have complete respect for you getting it to come up like that. Those bonnets take for bloody ever!

I bought it 5 years ago and it looked like it had been to every cub/scout car wash in the country, really dull and opaque. Went after it with a wool mop and P1, now I just keep on top of it. P1 is a gem because it's water based, it is so easy to use even by hand.

Yes that's it @Kit

To get the best from it you need either a rotary polisher or a DA. Gtechniq do a special pad if you want to do it by hand. The black hole glaze is a very good product but you need to seal them with wax or sealant as the rain will wash them off.

As my Z3 had some really rough paintwork.. It felt like a rough paper.. I got the first real polish done by the professionals. Also so I could watch and learn what he did. Washed, then clay bar, then washed again, Black polish with a mop, then washed, White polish with a mop, then he washed it again.. used a pad with some autoglym prep and then applied the Autoglym HD wax. The finish that he got was so deep and amazing. So if you are unsure , get a professional to show you the way. The Estoril Blue as shown in my profile photo shows you how deep a shine you can get even on 14 year old paintwork.

An investment in the future for me and it was worth every pound.
