Hi All,

I know you all like to show off your Zeds so here's mine.

It's a 2.5l S-Drive hardtop convertible, Automatic with the paddle shift on the steering wheel. It's a 2010 model that I bought a couple of months ago after much searching for the 'right one'.

I wanted this model, in white, with the black leather, dark wood trims, those alloys, low mileage and was fortunate enough to find my 'ideal' car in Chesterfield.

As with many of you it's unlikely to see the light of day in winter but will be (and already has been) used plentiful during what's turning out to be a good summer for open top motoring.

Me and the wife have already done a European Roadtrip, taking the Hull-Rotterdam ferry before driving around The Netherlands, Germany and Belgium stopping off in Arnhem, Cuxhaven (on the north sea coast of Germany), Bremen, Dusseldorf, and Lanaken taking the Zeebrugge-Hull return.

Enjoy -

Looks lovely @Chipper3. It's nice to see a white E89 without red interior for a change :D
I did look at a couple with the red interior but (whilst very nice) just not my cup of tea and I personally prefer the black. I reckon it will probably keep better too.

No that looks very understated with the black interior and agree it does look much better than the common old red interiors. ;)

It's a gorgeous car Colin. I'm only very slightly, just about, a little bit envious!!:scorecard:

Cheers Tony, I can't wait to get home each night, get it out of the garage and take it for for a spin. Making the most of a very good summer so far.

Next road trip will be Ireland at the end of August, ferry from Liverpool to Dublin then play it by ear for a few days. It can't come soon enough. Bring on the Guinness!!

lovely looking car Colin and obviously is very sound, nothing better than a road trip to find out any problems, if any ;-) it will be a lonely Z trip in Ireland as there don't seem to be too many brothers and sisters over here but yours will stand out a mile and will get plenty of attention :) best of luck with he and I hope she treats you well ;-)

Cheers David.

It's taken me a couple of months to get it looking like that. When I bought it, whilst low mileage and no dents or scrapes it hadn't been well looked after. I used the tried and tested Autoglym Resin polish on the bodywork and wheels to get out a few marks before coating it in a couple of layers of an Autobright PTFE sealant.

The brake hubs were very badly corroded so I de-scaled them and painted them white, I'd like to do the calipers too before long, although I might just change them.

All plastic and rubber parts have Autoglym Supersheen on them. I don't think this is available retail but I managed to get my hands on a 5litre container that I split with a few others. It's also very good on the tyres, blacking them without putting the 'false' glossy look of some tyre-wall blacks.

I was in Dublin last week and you are right...............I actually didn't see a one!!

Colin.

Just back from Ireland and you are dead right David. I didn't see a single Z-3 and only two Z-4's. One was in a BMW dealership in Dublin, the other on the M50 heading into Dublin on Tuesday evening. Outside of the main towns the roads were very quiet and a pleasure to drive on.

Whilst I see where you're coming from with the lack of Zeds it would be a HUGE mistake NOT to visit Ireland if you get a chance. If only to taste The Guinness in its homeland.

LOl. I was joking and am really looking forward to coming there. My son has fallen in love with an Irish lass and the wedding will be there! In fact, I hope to come and see as many of the forum members as possible on my journey - in about 1 year from now, I hope. :)
