“Necessity is Mother of Invention”
So… I noted a pair of panel screws on either side of center console under dash had “ears” that broke and the screws had nothing to bite into. The ear of the bracket was there.
I wanted a zip nut and a fender washer to anchor the fasteners to mounting tabs.
I searched my treasure boxes for the nuts and washers and came up empty.
I refused to drive to store to buy or look for something like I wanted, as I did not know if it existed.
So I did what any technically challenged assembler does and found raw material option and below was the new Cap-Kep-Zip Nut. All royalties will be shared 50/50.
The cap crown keeps it from getting loose and the screw grabs the flat and tab together.
For added flair I used my favorite CocaCola and Triple X rootbeer caps.
