3lt Z3 in today at the Shed, inner and outer track rods replaced following an advisory on offside inner at the MOT. No chance of undoing the locknut on either side they were well rusted so outer ball joint taken out and a few whacks had them free, nice fitting spanner on the inners after moving the rubber bellows out of the way after getting those crimp type fasteners off either end. As we couldn't undo the locking nut to count the turns of the outer we measured the length and when installing the new replacements made it as near as we could to the measurement we had taken off the old ones. Bellows secured using nylon tie wraps.
Quick trip up the road to our local Tyre place and had it put on their Hunter alignment machine needed some fine adjustment so we were not far off with our measurements. Should last another twenty years, old ones looked like they were originals.
Diff oil change on a Z4 tomorrow for another member.
