Quick post on high speed wheel wobble; no actual movement in the car but feedback through the steering wheel felt like the fronts were wondering on the motorway.

Started happening after having front lower control arms replaced with new bushings for mot. I have just replaced the tie rod assemblies (and anti roll bar drop links for good measure) and no issues today on the motorway, issue fixed. Looking back I would have bought the complete kit with control arms, bushings, track rods and drop links, and done it myself but needed the mot at the time.

I can only assume that having all the slack taken out the system with new control arms showed up the tie rod bushings. No history but assume they were originals and the car is 125k miles old. Not too much movement when tested by wiggling the wheels when jacked either, but enough to cause issues. Replaced the assembly as you get both inners and outer bushings, and if like mine you will have to saw through the tie rod to get the rubber boot off as the whole old assembly had seized up tight so couldn't be adjusted anyway.
