We went to a Car-b-Q tonight at Clermont on US 27 near the Citrus Tower at Uncle Kenny' s BBQ. There was a custom car/muscle come bring what you have show and I found this.

And after chatting with the owner I did this.

She said she would have a look on the Forum. She asked where it was based and I told her it was a global Forum with many US members but UK based.
I also spotted this amongst others,

Street legal, complete with wheelie bar!

Oh!, and what do you think this was on?

Possible but they must have different rules over there, if I by a car in Germany, it has to go through a stringent (more than normal) MOT and then gets a Dutch plate (that I have to pay for)

They don't do MOT as such over here Mike, that dragster is street legal but would not be in the UK. Just a guess on the plates, maybe @FRANKIE might know?

When an armed forces personnel buys a German car they are equipped to NA standards not German or Europe. The person must have been in a European country serving for at least one year and they also have an option of picking the car up from the factory. This of course is for cars mfg in Germany. I imagine with this car the American forces sent the car, bought in the USA, from the USA to wherever the person was posted and it would then be licenced in that country. So whomever owned the car has likely just returned from service overseas and has x number of days to convert it to an American plate. Our forces also can purchase a vehicle from a mfg in Europe but must take delivery within six months of returning home only if they've been posted for over the year. HTH JIM

It used to be similar to that for British Forces Germany. Bought my first new car this way tax free in the 1980s.:)

I think most forces have similar breaks for those that fight to keep us free and deservedly so! Thanks for your service @Ianmc! We shall remember them. JIM

On the way home on the 27 At a red light I spotted a Z3 coming in the opposite direction and by the sound it made and the speed it departed the line I'm sure it was an ///M. Here's a picture . . . . . . =))

Meet Meep.
The next day on the I4 I saw a Z4 in pale blue with a hardtop on. By the time I had my camera ready it was disappearing in the mirrors. Mrs. Schumacher has the same affliction as @MAURICE THE MARTIAN a very heavy right hoof!=))
Next spot a white Z4 on the 192 headed East. No pictures though.:(

Seeing quite a few this time Tony ....all that goid weather
The sunshine could have something to do with it Ant. Still more 4's than 3's though. The roof has been down on our car everyday and night. Nighttime is often the best time of day.
How's the arm coming along mate?
