Just an update on my previous post.
I took my car car today to a BMW specialist who confirmed I needed a rear diff replacement, only bought the car 6 weeks ago so I am gutted.
Whilst driving there the orange management light came on the dashboard, the technician at the garage put the car on a diagnostics box which came up with 2 x faults, first the valvetronic system & the second the catalytic converter. He said at present things were okay he overrode the system to clear the faults, having spoken to another person, he stated his light is on all the time with the same problem and only gets it taken off at the yearly MOT, Is this good practice?
The technician recommended having a solar trickle charge to the battery will help as the car is not used very often.
Any advice please will be very grateful.
