Been a while since I posted but ive been busy with uni and work so non-stop lately!

Sadly my Z4 is up for sale through no fault of its own. Insurance prices have just increased so much it is impractical to keep the car now. Its on ebay at the minute for the second time due to a non collection, but if anyone is interested please let me know / send me a PM

Haha yes I suppose so, it's only on eBay as I'm looking at selling fairly quickly.

Have you tried shopping around? Adrian Flux were able to smash my renewal quotes.

Yes I've become quite good at insurance shopping, being fairly young (23) with a fairly fast/sporty car. Still can't get it down much!

I'm 26, with the NCB of someone your age (no accidents, just a few years without a car)

Forget the comparison websites.
I've found that pitting two insurance companies against each other works fairly well.
Find two that are willing to price match, and see how far they can bring each others prices down.

BMWs are generally considered classics at 15 years old (varies according to manufacturer but many cars are 20 years to reach that status). In particular if you do limited miles (mine is 3,000), eg as a weekend toy then you could be coming in at £200 or less a year, well if you're an old git like me. My 2.2 is about £180 and my brother's 1.9 is about £130 with Footman James.

Must give some hope even for younger owners.

I think I remember her saying in a previous post that the excellent deal they do is for over 25s... I think. Aswell as age against me I also live in a city centre.

I ended up paying £550 for my 2.8 z3 and I'm 27 with 10 years no claims, with a spotless license, still shafted just because of stereotyping.
I wouldn't like to imagine your quote for a 3.0 z4.
