Hi. I need the outer sills replacing on my Z3, Can anyone recommend anyone in Lincolnshire to complete the work to a high standard and not cost the earth? Thank you

are they really rusty ?....if so just replace them and get them painted to your paint code... if not, they are thin mild steel and can be cleaned up relatively easily, rust treated and painted. To cut down costs, if you have the tools, try and clean them up as much as possible yourself. Even put a primer on, then top coat with a body shop.

Its a time consuming but fairly straight forward DIY job to replace them. Finding new ones will be the issue, BMW may still be able to source them. Or try @spurs fan in a coupe (resident breaker) if he has any good ones.
If they are salvageable I would still remove them, there will be a load of muck behind them and the inners may need some love, if the inners are OK it would be well worth a good waxoyl on the inners and inside of outers.

You can still get them from BMW. I am having mine replaced in June by Kraftwork in Chelmsford. Might be a bit of a journey for you. I was quoted around £135 per sill from BMW.

Is that for wide body? The narrow ones are cheaper, my local bmw dealer quoted about £175 inc vat for sills and further £30 fit a selection of screws and clips.

I assume you are supplying the sills?
Kraftwork are supplying the sills at what looks like a good price but are probably overcharging for the fitting and spraying. Swings and roundabouts
