Saw this at Carwise, Duffield, near Derby. Looks in excellent condition , think it's a 2.8 judging by the rear body.Sports seats etc. Garage shut today so don"t know anything else.
I've had several low mileage Z3's.Sorry to go on about the same old same old, but it matters not a hoot what the mileage is if its still all original (ish) underneath, will still need loads spent to get it up together, so a 7k price tag would be excessive, on the other hand if the bushes and shocks brakes etc have all been done then its a bargain. I'd put money on which it is though...... Just saying!
Well really depends on peoples definition of up together I suppose. I'd put money on most 20 year Zeds running original running gear and bushes need an overhaul to be worth the sort of money this car is commanding or to be as good a drive as when they were new (ish). Having stripped 3 down for rebuild and been involved in stripping a few others (the only way you will ever really find out) I have seen the age related issues that are hidden, not all people realise the condition of some components or realise that they do in fact need some major work. But as you say none of yours needed major work, lucky you.I've had several low mileage Z3's.
None of them have needed any major work, certainly not the "loads spent to get it up together"
Me too Dave, as I've said before, had I known more about them I wouldn't have bought a 2.0 Auto Z3. If i had bought a 2.8 or 3.0 i would likely still have it now. That Tony is very true. We know the values, the weak points etc. I didn't have a clue when I bought mine, just saw one online, liked the look of it and started hunting one down by engine and colour scheme.
It has standard seats, and no heated seats or aircon. ( poverty spec!). Now days I'd have been looking for a different car.
Life is a learning curve mate.Me too Dave, as I've said before, had I known more about them I wouldn't have bought a 2.0 Auto Z3. If i had bought a 2.8 or 3.0 i wpuld likely still have it now.
Tony.
