Wanted Z3 aerial base

My aerial has snapped off its base and need a new base thing part number is 65218375159 for my pre-face lift 1999 z3. I have been quoted £82 from bmw supply.co.uk but that seems alot especially as I don't often turn it on! Anyone got one they happy to sell?

That's very cheap. They are listed at £165 by BMW.

Secondhand I'd want £65 posted. So £82 new sounds good.

£82 new is excellent. Only way I'd consider secondhand with that offer is if I could find it for £40-50 which isn't usually easy. £65 is fairly typical price with postage unless you get lucky. Secondhand price is kept high, from high demand. Frequently broken part - often from vandalism.

You could strip out and glue it with Aradite.
Its a bit fiddly and you need to resolder base but its possible.
Grind off some of plastic to give you a good bond
Worth a try for a couple of hours work
