Hi,

I have for sale a set of H&R lowering springs 29754-2 for a Z3 6Cyl (excl. Z3M) roadster or coupe. Bought new in the middle of last year done around 4,000mls, rears did a little less as I ran stock rear springs for a while. Comes with original box. Moved onto GC's so no longer needed.

SOLD!!!!

No afraid not, but loads of pics online with H&R's 30mm lowering springs fitted to Zeds. H&R out sell Eibach in the US so there are plenty of pics if you google.ie :

This is a thread with 2.8 Z3 coupe on H&R springs (all H&R springs are the same drop for the Z3 i.e. there is not a sport and race option as with other models):

http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?1999696-Fs-99-Z3-coupe

and heres the photo bucket account that the pics are from:

White Zed on 16"'s, stock suspension, with H&R springs (look further down this thread):

You can buy thicker or thinner spring pads on front and back to alter the ride height to a preferred balance.

Can you put slightly lowering springs on the back as the front looks OK not much gap between the tyre and arch but the backs another story massive gap just looks wrong?
Any advice please ie what springs and size.
Thank you.

What I found is that the lowering springs lower further at the back slightly than the front, even if you put thicker spring pads on the back, with stock springs left on the front you'll probably end up nose up. If you look at the pic of the silver Z3 above you'll see the arch gap front and back with H&R's is about even, but is much smaller than stock.

I've done this with my dads zed. His is 15mm lower on the rear. He prefers the way it handles.

Thank you.
The front gap is just less than 2 inch the rear is a massive 4 inch gap.
Whats the best way to just level things up. Just looks wrong ?
Any advice on getting the look level what spring? Or any other way.?
Thanks

The best way to level up is to buy a fully height adjustable setup, but that is quite expensive. Yours probably going to find it difficult to find a just a rear set of lowering springs, though you could put up a Wanted Ad on here. To get as close to where you want it you'll probably be looking for a set of Eibach lowering springs as they lower 25mm, all other makes lower further than this. As I said above you can then buy different thickness spring pads from BMW to adjust closer to the height you require.

We fitted my old Z3M springs to the rear which made it sit level :)

Good idea, they're about 15mm or so lower than stock, and if your arch gaps are that big you'll definitely be running stock springs, you could also try and source a second hand set of rear z3 sport/m-sport springs which will lower about the same. I've found German eBay quite cheap for suspension parts.

So I should look for Z3 M rear springs ?
Just had rear shocks fitted so not changing suspension not cost effective and yes it was the same height on the old shocks.
How hard to fit M rear springs if I can get hold of some is it another trip to the garage.
Thanks for advice.

Z3 M or Z3 sport/ m-sport package springs.

Fairly easy if your used to getting a little oily, an amateur could easily do both in an hour.

Jack up car, on stands, drop off wheels, take out 18mm lower shock bolts, remove the lower anti roll bar link bolts, push hub down with foot and pull out spring, put back together in reverse, new springs will be shorter and easier to install.

You could always put shout out to see if there are any club members nearby, who are willing to help for a can of beer and a sandwich.
