can anyone help
have just bought a 2.8 tu
great condition just has an issue
when driving on light throttle normally feels great
when put foot down it fluffs and does not go
any ideas

Are there any warning lights up on the dash?

Have you scanned for trouble codes?

The above are major clues that will help.

Your problem could be throttle body (should pop codes) or fuel supply.

There is a schrader valve on the fuel rail. Turn key on, don't start the engine, The fuel pressure should be 50 PSI +/- 3 PSI. If it is low, could be pump and/or filter.

Symptoms you have may be a bad Maf they don't always set codes or EML car runs but feels like it's being held back. Try cleaning maf with specific Maf cleaner don't touch the wire in the sensor. Had this only 1.9 new OEM maf cured it instantly cleaning didn't fix it. Only fit OEM brands Bosch or Seimens do not fit cheap replacements you end up paying twice.
