First picture I've seen under the bonnet of a Z1 Mike, I see they have the same type of strut brace set up of the Z4 with two bars back to the centre of the bulkhead. Assuming that is an aftermarket one, I wonder where it mounts to at the rear, if in fact it does.

I have nabbed the picture so I can have a butcher's close up, hang on.

I think you're right mate and in that case it's probably a cosmetic exercise, I cannot see how that thing could brace the strut tops without flexing?

Cosmetic me thinks, the chassi does all the work as it is a plastic pig.
You can drive these things with no body work, I posted up a photo years ago of some owner doing that.
