Although I'd heard of this company from people using their rear view mirror replacement spindle parts on Z3 roadsters, I'd never used them before myself until today. My son's Nissan Qashqai rear hatch handle had fallen off (common fault) last week so looked on eBay/Bing and found the X8R repair kit which utilises the original handle. The simple kit involves attaching the two parts at each end of the handle (after grinding off the remnants of old clips) using acetone supplied to melt the plastic so it all moulds together and then clamping for a couple of hours. The whole repair took me about 4 hours and it's as solid as a rock.
If anyone has a Qashqai with this problem I can recommend this repair, I did my own mod to replace a rubber grommet with one of the original bolts on one of the new parts. The kit only cost £18.99 and was excellent value to me as it saved on a replacement handle and painting etc.
Looking on their site they provide an excellent video on the repair procedure for this job.
The X8R website covers loads of makes of vehicles including BMW and has loads of improved parts that people might find useful.
