A good study video for my first time driving in the UK. With things like that going on, I probably won't make it one hour on the road. How's it driving in Wales? (See you Monday 2 June.)
Driving in Wales? Oh, its a bit up & down.A good study video for my first time driving in the UK. With things like that going on, I probably won't make it one hour on the road. How's it driving in Wales? (See you Monday 2 June.)
Miller said he'd give me the tour.Best place to drive wales. The scenery second to none.
Technically not illegal to cross a broken white line....!Porsche M777MJH I wonder who has it now - still on the road... footage does seem to be quite old based on other cars...
Technically not illegal to cross a broken white line - and there are roads in the UK where you can overtake making three lanes (some near Redditch if I recall correctly) - however still dangerous / mad driving!Alasdair
No - in the UK a solid white line can not be crossed except for a couple of reasons eg overtaking a bicycle...Technically not illegal to cross a broken white line....!
Do you not mean an unbroken white line?
Over here they put you away and throw away the key
We have a few sheep ,and they are all differentOnce you've seen one sheep you've seen em all......
Last year me and the wife were heading over to Manchester from Sheffield and on the later section past the resevoir a moron overtook at least five cars going over a solid white line, we were the last and we're not quick enough to get him on a camera. I'm seriously thinking about a dash mounted camera these days because there are more and more idiots on the road. How often when you stop at a red light do you get the boy racer wanting to test you because you happen to be in a sports car? It's instant death you make a mistake, why take the chance......
Interesting - over here that wouldn't work - other drivers would have to wait however I would be surprised if we had solid white lines in any place where someone might be looking for an address - a built up area no issues, solid white lines are basically country lanes... you could be prosecuted though for bad driving / dangerous driving if your driving caused issues for others... which mybe is the equivalent...Ok Alasdair, similar if not the same as over here.
I got pulled over by the Dutch plod for driving to slowly (I was looking for an address) on a road with solid white lines. Mr Plod said that I would cause other drivers to overtake me and he would have to give them a ticket.
Funny thing was though, there were no other cars on the road and that was why I had decided to reduce my speed....he was probably using up the last few minutes of his shift as he looked at his watch, got on his bike and rode off.
