Window seal

Hi

Just brought a 1998 Z3 1.9 wondered if you can help? The roof seal (the rubber seal that runs up the A pillars and across the top of the windscreen has perished.

I have managed to locate one from a scrap dealer - this one has some sort of adhesive on it on the underside.

Can anyone advise if it need to apply some sort of adhesive/gunk to the seal before I fit it and if so what?

I presume it shouldn't be something too strong as I wouldn't be able to remove the seal in the future!

Any help appreciated!

I would imagine if it was stuck on it would be a general contact adhesive, cannot find anything in the online TIS though

I stuck mine back on with double sided sticky foam 1mm thick this is what came off when I removed it. Hth
