Quote from EnthuZiaZT: "Don't muddle poor Frankie anymore than he already is". You are laboring under the false impression that I need someone to muddle me. Apparently I can easily muddle myself without anyone's help. And it looks like I've done just that.
Since I've been a member of this forum, I have very much enjoyed the company of all the other members. I particularly like their good sense of humor. I felt that at least once I would like to have met several of the members, so when the opportunity to do so presented itself this summer, I eagerly jumped at the chance. At work, we must submit requests for our vacation. These requests are filled on a seniority basis and you don't always get what you ask for. I usually pick the last week of July into the first week of August. My wife, who is a dealer at The Borgata, does the same thing. We both have a lot of seniority and we usually get the same week. We always book a log cabin up at Lake George (named after King George) in upstate New York. This year, we both have the same week. We are only allowed one summer week vacation because it is the busy time of the year for the casinos.
Here's where the problem started. For some unknown reason, I kept thinking that Silverstone was at the very end of July right before my vacation started. Since my normal days off are Tuesday and Wednesday, I could give away to a part time dealer my Thursday and Friday and special request off Sat. and Sun. (Our work week starts on Monday). I booked everything as if August started directly after Silverstone, misplacing the entire last week of July. If they denied my request, I could get away with calling in a few days as I now have a perfect work record. Calling in for a fifth day would require a doctor's note and would be pushing my luck. Its 11PM now and I'm tired since I've been up at 2:23 AM. I'm really disgusted with myself so I'll just go to bed and work on it tomorrow.
