What Z car should I buy?

I really, really like my new 2000 Z 3 with the 2.3/2.5 motor, but I want more! Many of you have had different years of Z3/Z3M/Z4/Z4M if you had, say $35,000 US, what year and type Z car would you recommend?

I have a big problem at the moment with cars, in that I don't really have the next car in mind that I REALLY need right now! My 2.2 Z3 ticks all the boxes at this point in my life.

I don't need any more than 2 seats, and the 2 seater market isn't exactly inspiring. So the only car I would want to upgrade to would right now would be an M Roadster or possibly an Alpina Z4 (but I'm not ready for another Z4 quite yet).

If I needed more than 2 seats it would be either an E36 or E46 M3.

were lucky to have 2Zs a2.8 that we use the most and get more smiles per miles

And a z3 M that only comes out when I have a need for a little edrenaline rush and plenty of clean underwear,it's above my skill level and I have to take my wife with me to keep me on the road cos I have difficulty keeping my foot off the loud pedal.

But this is the car I would have ,it's lovely it's smooth it's red it's fast and I miss it.and only $8000 U.S.

I can't argue with those sentiments at all Hugh. If there were an ///M for sale in the UK now for $8,000 I would have bought it. No question.

I wish we'd kept our Z3 as well as our Z4
But it needed lots doing to it
