About 20 years ago i was doing a repair in a customers house and talking to customers as you do , eventually the conversation got round to cars and he said he had a old MG in the garage witch had been in there for years it turned out to be a MG Magnette zb Varitone in red and cream rather dusty and covered in gardening implements etc he asked if i wanted it and would swap the car for me fixing the washing machine

only had mine a few weeks as i lost my garage several weeks later sold it to the Mg center at Milnthorpe near kendal for
£250 found out later it had a hand made rear body as the back window was a wrap round one which had been had cut and finished before it left the factory , at a similar time i found a Volkswagen Karmen Ghia which had been lanquishing behand a drystone wall it was remarkably sound and cost me £50

Mine got sold as we scraped together enough money to buy the plot of land we live on and have done since 1980. It was collected from my dad's place by a guy from London with a flat bed truck with a grab on. The car was in bits but the driver assured me it would MOTd and "on the road" within hours of being back in London. It was bought for the reg. no.;)
