The beginning of the Winter was soft but tricky: here we had the warmest January day (18deg C) and in a week , the coldest one (-28deg C) in the last 50 years. Weather is getting crazy and the changes are majors. Maybe we pay the price or maybe it's just a natural cycle. Better to keep the wood close to the stove...

I'm seven miles from the coast. Just close enough to get more rain later and just far away enough not to have to worry about flooding. Phew.
