Welcome to the Z Roadster forum.

We have a simple set of rules, which are listed below. I think these rules are clear, and easy to follow. These are only in place to ensure our community is a fun place to be, and a comfortable atmosphere for all. The forum is intended to be fun for everyone, but remember that some people can be offended!

1. RESPECT OTHER MEMBERS
1.1 Please be considerate to other members. Personal attacks, threats and flames will not be tolerated. Treat others as you would wish to be treated.
1.2 Use of "dual identities" is strictly forbidden. No member can have a second account used for posting anonymously under any circumstance. Additional accounts are acceptable, as long as no intention is made to break the site rules and it is clear who you are when posting.
1.3 If you're considering replying to a post that has in some way upset or offended you, please report the post to the Moderators, rather than risk inflaming a situation or causing unintended offence yourself.
1.4 Please do not criticise the spelling or grammar on others posts.
1.5 If you're requested to do something by a Moderator, please be considerate of that request. We will only ask you to do things in the interests of the members.
1.6 Introduction/Welcome threads are to welcome new members. They should be used to make that member feel welcome to the community. A new member may not be used to posting on a forum so it should not be hijacked with off topic posts (including rude, offensive or irrelevant comments).

2. KEEP IT CLEAN
2.1 Posting explicit, obscene or vulgar language or images, and soliciting or offering explicit, X-rated, or similar content is strictly forbidden.
2.2 Please don't post rude comments or innuendo. The General Banter section is more relaxed, but please remember to not offend others.
2.3 If it’s not suitable for work (NSFW) it probably shouldn’t be posted. If you think it may cause offense, then either type NSFW in the thread title or use the red NSFW warning tag.
2.4 Please don't use swear words or spell or format them to avoid the word censor filter.

3. KEEP IT LEGAL

3.1 Discussing or encouraging speeding or other illegal activities, or those that could endanger members of the public is strictly forbidden.

4. FOLLOW POSTING ETIQUETTE
4.1 Try the search option first as you may find your question has already been asked and answered. However, the search isn't perfect so please still ask the question if you can't find the answer.
4.2 Please start threads in the appropriate forum and don't start the same thread in multiple forums. Threads in the wrong forum will most likely be moved for you to the correct one.
4.3 Please use thread titles that reflect the content of the message you're posting.
4.4 Please don't disrupt technical or site feedback threads with banter, "hijack" threads by changing the subject or generally take them off the original topic.
4.5 Please don't make "noise" in a thread. Imagine the frustration of someone doing a search by titles, when they find what looks like a promising thread only to have to read through a bunch of quips, asides and personal banter to find any real information on the subject.
4.6 Please refrain from using text speak as this can be construed as confusing, unclear or just plain rude.
4.7 Single word and single or multiple “smilie” replies are not acceptable.

5. POSTING PICTURES and IMAGES
5.1 Images can be uploaded to the forum using the 'Upload a File' button. There is a maximum upload size of 2MB per image, and 20 images per post.
5.2 Images are automatically resized to 1024x768px as they are uploaded.
5.3 We prefer that images are direcly uploaded to the forum, but you can be link images to a photo hosting site such as Flickr/PhotoBucket/DropBox/ImageHost if needed.
5.4 This YouTube video explains how to upload images to threads.

6. SIGNATURE and AVATAR GUIDELINES
6.1 Signatures are considered part of a post and therefore subject to the same rules
6.2 Signature picture images should be no larger than 800 x 200 pixels
6.3 Avatars have a maximum permitted dimension of 120 x 80 pixels and 5kB in size
6.4 Links in signatures are allowed assuming they are not commercial/business related in nature unless agreed with the site administrator first. This is due to existing agreements in place with certain site sponsors and businesses.
6.5 Signatures will be edited without notice if they contravene these rules.

7. PRIVATE MESSAGES
7.1 Private Messages are completely private, and the moderation team do not have access to them unless they are reported.
7.2 Any reported Private Messages are no longer considered "private", but will be dealt with full confidentiality within the moderation team.
7.3 Private Messages are subject to the same rules as posts in the Public forums.

8. CONTRAVENTION POLICY
8.1 Posts which break the above rules will result in the post being edited or moved to the correct section. The reason for editing will be alerted to the poster.
8.2 In some cases you may receive a Private Message to discuss the issue. This will not always be necessary.
8.3 Continual, blatant or serious breaches of the rules may result in a temporary or permanent ban from the site.
8.4 The decision of the moderation team is final.

I have just been through the forum rules to make sure they are clear and up to date. This was last carried out 14 months ago, and in the interests of transparency here is what I have done.

There were a couple of sections/rules which needed tidying up. For example the section about uploading images linked to an article on the old forum software we used. It now has the YouTube video linked to it.

The rules about what is/isn't acceptable to be posted are perfectly clear, but I've added an additional rule regarding rude comments and innuendo.

If you have any problems with the rules as they stand, then feel free to start a private conversation with me about it.

I would like to draw everyone's attention to the Terms of Service and Rules under which you - either as a visitor or member - access this web site (service).

Those Terms of Service and Rules are detailed on this link https://zroadster.org/help/terms, and expanded further on the first post of this thread (which is linked from the Terms of Services and Rules page).

For complete clarity the reference I wish to reiterate strongly is that it states "If you do not agree with these terms, please do not register or use this Service."

As always if you have any questions relating to the Terms of Services and Rules by which this site is governed by feel free to personal message me or use the "Contact Us" link shown at the bottom of each page. Always happy to answer your questions or concerns.
