dont know if this is a new sneaky way of generating revenue from motorists but today whilst driving between Pershore and Evesham i noticed in my mirrors a bike behind me, this bike had a mobile speed camera sign on the front of the fairing where the small clear screen would normally be. It may have just been someone unconnected with road traffic control but you never know, every time a car coming in the opposite direction and moving faster than they should he would move out onto the center line to get a view of the oncoming car.

No thats just sly , no excuse for excessive speed but there are right ways and wrong ways to go about it. If hes watching speeding cars my guess is he could easily be classed as driving without due care and attention like most things a rule unto themselves

I have seen the police speed checks using motor cycles all along the A303 in recent weeks.

surly the speed camera sign (as in the image used in sign posts) cant be copied and just placed anywhere, so you would assume it is infact a mobile speed camera. about 5 years ago i spotted a speed camera van disguised as a glassing van at the side of the m50, complete with the sloping wooden frame bit on the side of the van, this is illegal i thought, a couple of days later it was featured on central news, the police in there defense said it was to tackle a particular problem they were having with bikes on the m50 and as such required special measures. So it would appear they can quite happily bend the rules to suit themselves.
