Have to drive mine onto a length of scaffold board to get a normal jack under it.

I've got one of these, plus a jacking pad. Had no problems with it. Wish it was this price when I bought it.

It's a cheap and cheerful bit of kit but with some buts....
It only has a metal cup which damages the sills on you car. I've just bought these rubber trolley jack pads - one BMW and a general flat pad

The other problem is that with the jack alone, you can't raise the car high enough to get axle stands under.
I'm hoping that the additional height that these give will allow you to use the basic Halford stands.

Damn, sold to the bloke with a horse. Will get onto that when I get home, looks ideal for the likes of me that doesn't jack things up everyday.

Jack ordered, along with some axle stands and rubber pads to fit on top of the stands. And a rubber pad to fit on the jack. Bit too much rubber going on round here for my liking, will have to go and fondle some horses.
