A good to fly and watch. The MACH Loop comes out best due to the added bonus of the vapour trails, more spectacular.

There's a thread on PH that said that uploading mach loop photos publicly is frowned upon as UK pilots get a mega b*******ing for being naughty boys.

US pilots probably get a medal.

To be fair, I've just watched the video, and those guys were very tame compared to some of the Typhoon videos that were doing the rounds.

Have seen some pretty low and fast passes through there. The video quality is better than most I've seen though.

Not sure why it's frowned upon to post though. It shows the tremendous skills of the pilots.

We went to the Naval Aviation Museum at Pensacola this morning, the Blue Angels were due to give an impromptu show but the cloud base dropped too low and it was called off at the last minute.:(:(

That’s a real shame Tony. The Blue Angels are a must-see amongst the aerobatic display teams.

That video was OK, but one of the ones I've seen showed flying that almost cost the pilots their jobs - real skill on display, but no margin for error - and a sonic boom on the climb out :):).

Yes they are Ian, we saw their home coming display in 2017. Totally free too.

That's on my to do list.
Well, just so you know Phil from May to November they practice at Pensacola every Tuesday and Wednesday and it is totally free you just need to bring picture ID. They start around11.30 and it lasts 55minute or so.

Tony.

Yes, Ras al khaimah, flying out of Sharjah.
The SOAF (Sultanate of Oman Air Force) fellas we came in contact with in 70s & 80s told us that the Brit & Commonwealth pilots they had flying the operational Hunters at that time had the highest flying hours on them in the world. I witnessed two Hunters beating up Muscat airport after the National Day, I was standing on a 10ft high wall at the perimeter & it seemed as though we were level with the pilot in the cockpit they were that low!!

The RAF pilots loved doing that. That flight through the wadis was one of lifes great experiences.
