Hey guys,

I'm back in the UK and started looking for a Zed again..

I've found this, spoke to the guy, thinking of flying there tomorrow. He's saying all is good and well and stuff.
It actually seems that the add has been on for quite a while from what I've been managed to google up.

Is there any chance that any of you seen the car? I would hate to fly there and fly back.. Also, if there's a chance that anyone mechanically knowledgeable on here is from the area, help with check would be greatly appreciated, thinking of flying there tomorrow....

Thanks!

(I assume I'll have to change the differential for normal use, any comments as of what to expect of the 3.45? Thanks)

A cheap car - it would definitely need a good inspection from someone near before booking a flight.

Yea.. There are the two worries that come with that a) something might be wrong with it.. b) it might be good and might get snatched meanwhile.. :-(

It's not a long flight but it's still the whole day wasted as well as money if it doesn't go right :(

Could be a mistype of welded diff, if so then it's been modified for drifting... basically you open the diff casing and weld every thing up so both wheels spin at the same time... if it has, then stay well clear!

Does it mean the car got f*cked up? Or just replacing the diff would do the trick?

Assuming a typo?
Could be a typo, but if it meant to read welded diff what does that mean ?.
I may have time tomorrow to have a look but can't promise as I have to give my zed a good look over ready for Sunday's track day.
@Synclare would be better qualified to check it out with his mechanical background.

It's technique rather than outright power in most cases. Power helps, but skill can overcome!

There's a few things about this car that flags warnings for me personally...

Bozzy, it would be MASSIVELY appreciated. I'm not in a position to be flying up and down for no result.. as I've taken up studying again..

The flags are definitely there, but wouldn't want to miss the chance in case it's good.. The price range is ideal for me just now, but than again that's assuming the car is alright..

Totally agree, but if you've seen some of the vids of 1.9s drifting on YouTube then you'd be surprised how good they are at it!
