These are the ugliest wheels I've seen unless you can think of any others.

Yup, pretty ugly! Mind you I suppose they are relatively easy to clean. Some alloys with intricate patterns can look very nice ,but they are a sod to clean. I had a Rover Vitesse years ago with fine criss/cross alloys and they were a nightmare to clean,had to use a toothbrush. I didn't use mine of course, I used the wife's!

Funniest thing he as those red rubbish alloy wheel protectors on the edge off rim to protect is prize alloys , and it's a Lexus sc 430 coupe hardtop!
Yup as above Lexus 430 coupe 'thingy'. The car is as bad as the wheels, 03 plate I think. Careful parking as they nearly had the front off on the curb in front of it.

Those volvo ones a few year back were quite similar, and equally disturbing
When I first saw a Z3 I thought it was a pug ugly car and it took 20yrs to change my mind. Now I quite like this Lexus and I don't think the wheels are that bad. They're plain rather than ugly in my view
