Hi All,

Has anyone tried a plug in and play tuning box like the type you can buy on ebay? This is related to a Z3 2.8.

Thanks

Luke

Don't think these will work on the Z3 as they rely on the obdii port being fully functional which the Z3 either does not have at all in the early versions or is only semi functional in the later models. I maybe wrong but I think to remap the 2.8 it is a chip out job or at least the ecu needs removing to hook upto a computer.

From what I understand these plug and play tuning boxes work better in relation to diesel cars rather then petrol.

Don't waist your money. The only time you should consider a remap is after changing exhaust and air filter for less restriction. Then I would recommend Evolve In Luton for mapping your car. You would get before and after dyno read outs so you can see the gains.

Just to add you won't get massive gains like a diesel. Prob in the reigion of 10-15bhp with all the above
