Trunk will not open

Hi new to the forum and today I went to open my trunk on my 2001 z3 roadster. Pressed down o. The road tried locking and unlocking but still cannot get it. Please help thanks Dexter

if you mean opening with a key...you need to turn the key and hold (think it's to the left) you'll then hear the whir of the latch opening
