If anyone is interested I have Nicks contact details and details are also in Straight Six. I would enjoy company and I do know that one member at least has done the Olton park one on the 22nd Feb.... Didn't you! a report would not go Amis Peteslag. Or from anyone else that went. Lol Swamper, Maurice the Martian

Pete thanks for the link not sure how I missed it as I was up to date on my Tapatalk even though I was away. I told board I needed a dunces hat lol :)

I guess you would advise me to upgrade the brake pads?

Yes mate, I have upgraded pads/discs/fluid and still managed to cook the brakes. Most of it was down to poor technique (braking too late) but even still, I doubt you would get more than a lap or 2 out of standard pads. I've heard that Cadwell is even harder on the brakes than Oulton. You can get green stuff pads that work OK with standard discs or go for red stuff. The reds are excellent but can give very poor cold braking when used with standard discs (perfectly fine with performance discs). I have red pads, grooved and drilled discs and RBF600 fluid. By the end of my track day I had my braking technique sorted and was able to knock out 15 laps on the trot. After 15 laps the car was still up for more abuse but I wasn't, bloody knackered!
