With the no 1 I agree.
The others you bearly see them on the road, sometimes less than Z3!
The Zed 3 is totally ignored, in the media, but who cares? We go stealth mode.

My mates got a Boxster, looks great but boy its trouble, just had the roof drains block and flooded the car out, guess where a load of the electrics are? yep in the floor, then his roof decided to open itself, shorted probably and bent the hood frame. And to think years ago he has a 2.8 Z3 and had zero problems with it. There's a moral there somewhere. 
The MX5 may be reliable and fun to drive but it rusts badly. I currently have my daughters boyfriends MX5 sat on my drive with a mystery electrical problem which he can't afford to get fixed. It is three years newer than my Z3 and full of rust.

I wouldn't go near an MX5 or any Mazda come to think of it, we do a lot of work for the local Mazda dealership and it shocks me every time I look underneath them, 3-4 year old cars look terrible, totally rust covered as there is no anti corrosion coating on them whatsoever. Rear wheel arches also rot out very quickly, in fact we have done quite a few and have to fabricate new arches, standard charge of £400 per arch,

Cant agree with that, got a 6 Tourer, 2nd one great car, no rust underneath either.
Must be one of very few, Mazda's always have a lot of surface rust underneath. I see a lot. From the underside they haven't improved since the 90's. Mechanically they're very good cars.

HT has a list @ Grumpy and you aren't on it let alone on top! But I do like his top choice as you know I like Mercedes, any model any year but the older the better!! JIM
