so anyone done it?

what were your results?

seems like a big performance gain for a little £..

but nothing like hearing it from the horses mouth.

I changed the stock air box for and induction kit at the first chance. I know fogging is a cheaper and possibly a more easily concealed mod, but anything that improves the air intake is definitely worthwhile.

Not really a power boost, just made the engine much smoother!

ok...i'm in!

can anyone point me to a definitive guide with lots of pictures, bear in mind I am an engine novice where cars are concerned, although a did a similar air box mod on my vespa GTV 250 with fantastic results in acceleration and smoothness, so understand the theory behind better aspiration, the main problem really with all this is my lack of car specific tools and my very basic knowledge of car engines..I have been meaning to do the oil change myself as well but due to lack of ramps and the tools to remove the sump plug and oil filter cap I haven't done it yet.

or

here's a thought

would any of you kind gents consider taking an hour or so out of your time to help me do these bits?

I live in guildford and will happily drive to anyone within a sensible distance..and i'm keen to learn all about my car and hangout with some other Z3 owners

in my experience you can't beat hands on experience and knowledge...

cheers

joe

p.s and I would definitely get the beers in after at the local watering hole!

If you go on .net and speak to geminimustang he has my fogged air box, he may let you have it, that said it is not a big mod, it's just a case of turning the intake tube on the air box upside down and feeding an air pipe from the front passed the radiator to the intake tube. And to be honest, for the time it will take £90 quid for the k&n is reasonable.
