Think you know tyres?

This was on the O/S/F of a Fiat Panda which was in for Test today, the thing is did it pass or fail ?

There was 1.9 mm of tread on the inside tread groove and no cords were visible.

Not quite mate, it's a minimum of 1.6mm across the centre 3/4 of the tyre, all round the circumference.

Suspect it passed on a technicality. Many cars will have failed with tyres in much better condition overall.
