Came home from work early today with the top down. Lovely sunny afternoon drive and the sound is great as the tacho approaches that red line!

Looks good, nothing like a drive with the roof down although unless its raining it should always be down, no need for the sun to be out :coolsteer) :coolsteer)

Them rear spacers certainly make the car look better from the rear, but whats going on with the boot badges they are not in the usual place :-?

Well spotted! I was wondering how long it would take for someone to mention that.

Yes I know, the car has obviously had some paintwork done in the past and the badges have not been replaced in the right place. The lower case "i" is also absent. There is no evidence of repaired damage underneath the car back or front or around the inner wings at the front so I presume a minor prang or parking scrape required some paintwork and the badges were removed for that. I knew this before I bought it but I was keen on the the fact it had only 68k miles and a full service history with most stamps from main dealers. I'm sure proliferation of stone chips will mean a respray will be on the cards in a few years anyway so I may correct the badges then!

I'm sure this could have been one I saw advertised then not long ago and remember the badges were lower down. Although I can remember there being a post/thread somewhere else about the badge position on the rear of zeds and there was another/several others with the badges also in this position so it may not be that it has had repairs, some may have left the factory like that.

I was about to run out into the street to check the position of my badges!

I then realised that my zed is in the garage at the moment having the constant airbag light fixed (at cost to the garage that sold me the car fortunately).
It's gonna bug me now, because I can't picture the badges on the back of my 2.0 being in a different place to yours.

When you took the badges off did the sticky mark just polish away? Or is it a paint job?

Cheers,
Dean.

My first and possibly only ever purchase of dental floss...

it left a slight 'shadow' where the badges were. A quick go over with Autoglym SRP did the trick!
